Semi overturns in Clyde Township

No injuries were reported after a gravel hauler overturned Monday morning in Clyde Township. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff Department, a pickup truck driven by a 72-year old Clyde Township man was backing out of a driveway in the 3100 block of Vincent Road around 9:30 this morning, resulting in the semi truck swerving to avoid a collision. The gravel hauler clipped the truck before entering the ditch and over turning, dumping 48 tons of sand on the roadside. Vincent Road between Walker and North Road was closed for several hours this morning for cleanup.
