A 31-year old Burtchville man has been arrested following a nearly eight month long investigation into lewd behavior in the Port Huron area. Officers from the Port Huron Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigation Division arrested Scott Jewell on Tuesday. It concluded an investigation that began in January with several reports of a white male exposing himself and engaging in lewd behavior as he drove past women in Port Huron. He was arraigned Thursday on seven counts of Aggravated Indecent Exposure, one count of Indecent Exposure, and one count of Sexually Delinquent Person. Bond was set at $5,000, and Jewell is scheduled to appear for a probably cause conference on September 1st in 72nd District Court. Anyone who has knowledge of the crimes, or who has fallen victim to a similar incident, is asked to contact Detective Lieutenant Chris Frazier at 810-984-9711, or a report can be made anonymously at www.porthuronpolice.org.
