Carsonville Port-Sanilac Schools offer students three options for school year

Schools throughout the listening area are finalizing plans for the school year in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Wednesday morning Carsonville-Port Sanilac schools announced their plans in a video statement from Superintendent Doug Muxlow that was posted to social media. Muxlow says the district will be offering families three options for returning to school in the fall. The first option available will be traditional, in-person learning following CDC guidelines as well as guidelines set forth by the state. As a second option, students can do temporary online learning that follows the curriculum of the classroom. With this option, students would be able to return for in-person learning when they are comfortable doing so. Finally, the district will also be offering the option for entirely online learning from home for the duration of the school year. Muxlow also says sports and other extracurricular activities will be resuming as normal. He adds that students opting to do online learning for the whole school year will not be permitted to participate in any extracurricular activities.
