Carsonville man injured in ATV accident

(SANILAC TOWNSHIP) – An ATV accident in Sanilac County’s Sanilac Township Friday evening injured one of three people involved in a single vehicle personal injury crash on private property in the 5000 block of Snover Road.

According to Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies, a 22-year-old male subject from Carsonville was driving a 2015 Polaris Ranger with two passengers, a 15- year- old Carsonville male and a 16-year-old Carsonville female.

The 22-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle around 7:30 p.m., causing it to overturn. He was ejected from the Polaris Ranger and pinned underneath it for a short time and suffered injuries.

The two teenage subjects were not injured.

The Carsonville man was treated by Port Sanilac Fire and Sanilac EMS and transported to Mckenzie Memorial Hospital.

Deputies say no seat belts were being worn at the time of the incident that remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Port Sanilac Fire Department.
