Formal charges have been filed against the suspect involved in last week’s incident involving a vehicle crashing into the Huron County Medical Care Facility. Authorities are still searching for 36-year old Billy James Werth Jr. of Croswell. He’s wanted on a three count arrest warrant including a felony charge for the unlawful driving away of an automobile, a misdemeanor charge for leaving the scene of an injury accident and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. The incident occurred last Thursday night around 11:30 when a vehicle driven by Werth jumped a curve and crashed in to the Huron County Medical Care facility, leaving the vehicle partially inside the building. Police believe Werth and his five year old son in the vehicle then left the scene, ending up in Misty Meadows trailer park where he then allegedly stole a vehicle to return to the Croswell area. The five year old son was not hurt and was left with a family member, but Werth hasn’t been heard from since. Authorities are asking that anyone who has any information on his whereabouts contact Huron County Central Dispatch at 989-269-6421.
