(BAD AXE) – Police are looking for a 36-year old Croswell man, following an incident in Huron County Thursday night.

Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson said deputies are investigating the incident where a vehicle on M-53, west of Bad Axe left the road in a curve and crashed into the Huron County Medical Care facility, leaving the vehicle partially inside of the building.

Sheriff Kelly Hanson said after the 11:30 p.m. accident, police believe the man and his 5-year old son in the vehicle left the scene, ending up in Misty Meadows trailer park where he allegedly stole a vehicle to return to the Croswell area.

Hanson said Sanilac County deputies went to the location, but the man had already fled.

Investigators say the 5-year old son was not hurt and was left with a family member, but police believe the suspect sustained injuries in the crash.

He remained at large as of early Friday morning.

Huron County Sheriffs Deputies were assisted by Bad Axe City Police, Michigan State Police and K-9 units from Sanilac and St Clair County.
