Three involved in two-vehicle collision

(SANILAC COUNTY) – Three people were involved in a two-vehicle accident in Sanilac County late Sunday afternoon.

According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, a 16-year-old Snover male was driving a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 traveling north on Germania Road in Lamotte Township around 5:30 p.m. and failed to yield while turning into a private drive, striking a vehicle headed south.

Deputies say the southbound vehicle was a 2017 GMC pick-up, being driven by a 19-year-old male from Snover who had a 16-year-old male passenger, also from Snover.

Sanilac EMS and Marlette EMS responded to treat the victims at the scene with the 16 year old Snover sustaining injuries and being transported to Marlette Community Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say no one involved in the crash were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash that remains under investigation.
