Brown City man injured in three-vehicle crash

(SANILAC COUNTY) – A three-vehicle crash in Sanilac County Tuesday sent a Brown City man to the hospital.

According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, deputies responded to a report of a three-vehicle accident on S Van Dyke Road near Reynolds Road in Marlette Township around 6:30 p.m.

Investigators say a 2019 Ford Ranger operated by a 68-year-old male from Marlette was traveling southbound on S Van Dyke Road when it stopped on the roadway to make a left hand turn into Hilltop Gas Station.

A 2001 Chrysler Voyager operated by a 29-year-old male from Brown City then rear ended the 2019 Ford Ranger. The Brown City man’s vehicle then spun into the northbound lane where it was struck by a Semi Truck operated by a 23-year-old male from Ohio, traveling northbound.

The 29-year-old male from Brown City was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital by Marlette EMS for treatment of injuries.

Deputies were assisted by Michigan State Police and the Marlette Fire Department.

Names of those involved are being withheld at this time, pending further investigation.
