Healthcare at Marlette and Deckerville hospitals

The State’s repeal of Executive Order 2020-17, the temporary postponement of elective/non-essential medical procedures, is a positive step for the health and wellness of residents and Thumb Area communities.

Effective May 29, all non-essential medical services and procedures for non-COVID patients will resume at Deckerville Community Hospital and Marlette Regional Hospital, affiliates of United Healthcare Partners.

These hospitals began to re-engage operations earlier this month to allow for time-sensitive procedures and in-office visits in accordance with directives.

The repeal will allow both hospitals to restore all outpatient testing and surgical procedures. Patients can expect to be screened upon arrival COVID-19 symptoms and will be asked to wear a mask during their visit.

If the patient does not have a mask, one will be provided. Staff will continue to be screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to the start of their workday. Visitor restrictions remain in place at this time.
