COVID-19 testing numbers continue to increase in Sanilac County and fortunately, the results have been very promising. As of Wednesday morning, 184 people have been tested at the Health Department’s drive-thru site on Dawson Street. According to County officials, 135 have tested negative while the other 39 are awaiting test results. The County continues to report just 39 COVID-19 cases have tested positive since the outbreak began in March and five people have died as a result of contracting the deadly virus. Officials are encouraging people if they feel they need to get tested to contact the Health Department to set up an appointment. It is believed the drive-thru testing in the County can handle as many as 200 people per day.
