Tuscola County pushes back against Governor’s orders

The Tuscola County Board of Commissioners has taken a bold step and are fighting back at the Governor’s Executive Order to stay at home. Commissioners have taken what is believed to be the first ever, resolution by a County board saying the Governor’s actions violate individual rights and is causing extreme consequences for small business. Commissioners have told small businesses throughout their area to develop a plan to re-open safely, without state regulations. Officials say 48% of the County is small business and Commissioners are trying to help “stop the bleeding”. The board has said they are seeking support from cities, villages and townships throughout the county.
