Marlette officers assist public

Following the lead of fellow officers in Sandusky, the Marlette police department got involved over the weekend, delivering food to families in need.

Marlette officers delivered food to around 20 seniors with the assistance of Heaven Sent Ministries, also from Marlette, and numerous volunteers who helped load a patrol car and a truck.

Donations are being encouraged for Heaven Sent Ministries to continue their outreach and if there are those in need of assistance, they are asked to contact Marlette police.

Sandusky officers began helping the elderly and disabled last week, by making picking up groceries and other items at local stores and delivering to door steps.
