Sandusky police volunteers helping during crisis

The Sandusky policed department is doing their part during the COVID-19 pandemic, making sure senior citizens, shut-ins and others needing assistance don’t go without needed supplies.

Chief Brett Lester said a volunteer off-duty officer will be available every day from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to pick up necessities for the elderly or those unable to be out due to various handicaps or other limitations.

The Chief said it is important that everyone come together and care for each other and be willing to assist each other in these trying days.
