(SANDUSKY) – A Sandusky man out for a walk on the property of Woodland Hills Golf Course Saturday afternoon had the surprise of his life, when he came across what appeared to be a deceased female body.

According to Police Chief Brett Lester, shortly after noon Saturday, the man discovered the body of a 55-year old woman from Sandusky and called 911.

Chief Lester said through investigation, officers learned the woman had been at a party on Friday night where alcohol was being consumed.

The woman, according to police, was allegedly intoxicated and decided to walk home.

Chief Lester said the woman also had a previous under lying medical condition and appears to have suffered either a cardiac event or passed away due in part to extreme cold weather.

Police say no foul play was involved.
