A massive search for three missing children had a happy ending in Lapeer County this week. Investigators from the Lapeer County Sheriff Department say the three North Branch area children, ages 14,13 and 11, went missing on Tuesday and were found by searchers on Wednesday. The children, who according to police, live with their father in Clifford and were visiting at their grandmother’s house in North Branch Township when they went missing. Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, police received what they called a credible tip saying the children were staying with a juvenile friend (hiding them from the police and parents)at a location, also in North Branch Township. Deputies visited the residence to investigate the tip and spotted the children, who fled in to a nearby field. After more than an hour of extensive searching in the North Branch area, the children were found safe with no injuries. Police continue to investigate the incident.
