Sanilac EMS may service Minden Township
Like a neighboring northern township in Sanilac County has already done, Minden Township officials are meeting to discuss their options for EMS coverage.
Having a portion of their area covered by Bingham EMS, who has discussed terminating their business, Austin Township in northwest Sanilac County switched their contract and are now covered by Sanilac EMS.
Minden Township is considering a similar move. Township officials will meet with Sanilac Medical Services 7 p.m., Monday at the Minden Township Hall to discuss service coverage.
In late January, Austin Township approved going with the Sanilac EMS for medical needs and, to go with the Argyle Fire Department for Medical First Responder needs and eventually, for fire-service protection to gradually shift to the Argyle Fire Department.
