Sandusky election workers get pay raise

The Sandusky city council met in brief session Monday evening, taking care of business in a matter of minutes.

Council approved a raise for election workers who have not had a raise since 2013 according to City Clerk Laurie Burns.

Elections Chairman will now receive 12 dollars per hour while workers were increased to 11 dollars per hour.

Burns said she has eight workers for elections and the increases have been figured in to the upcoming new budget.

Council was also given a report from the Sandusky Youth Athletic Association stating Opening Day for baseball and softball will be May 16th with registration open now through March 31st.

There will be an additional cost for late registration.
