St. Clair County DTF map available

(Port Huron Township) The 2019 St. Clair County Drug Task Force incident map is now available to the public. The map is displayed on the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, www.facebook.com/stclaircountysheriff.org.

Those who view the map can observe DTF cases across the county. It is possible to view the county as a whole, or zoom in to a specific neighborhood. When you click on a marker in the map, you will be able to see the location of the crime, drug(s) that were confiscated, suspects involved and any weapons that were seized.

“I am proud of the work done by the Drug Task Force in arresting dealers and getting drugs and weapons off our streets,” said Sheriff Tim Donnellon. “I believe this information is useful for citizens to be aware of drug crimes going on in their neighborhood.”

Sheriff Donnellon went on to say that he encourages anyone who observes what they believe to be drug activity to contact the Drug Task Force at (800) 243-DRUG. If they wish, callers can remain anonymous while providing tips on narcotics transactions.

In 2019, the Drug Task Force seized 1117 grams of methamphetamine/crystal meth, 849 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine and 138 grams of heroin.

The DTF also executed 81 search warrants and 329 drug related traffic stops last year. As a result of the search warrants and traffic stops, 272 suspects were arrested. Those arrests resulted in 349 felony charges and 166 misdemeanor charges.
