A 25-year-old Kimball Township woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after her car veered into a ditch in Berlin Township early Sunday morning. Around 7 a.m., the woman told police she was driving on Capac Road near Schultz Road when she lost control of her vehicle, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators say the weekend’s slick and rainy weather was “definitely a contributing factor” in the incident. The woman was transported by Tri-Hospital EMS to McLaren Port Huron with a serious head injury. There were no other individuals in the car. Police did not say if the woman was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
