Homicide suspect arrested at Blue Water Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have arrested a man who was wanted for suspected homicide and arson in North Dakota, at the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron early Thursday morning. Canadian Border Police officers arrested the 41-year-old United States citizen without incident early Thursday morning and turned him over to the Port Huron Police Department, according to a press release from the agency. Officers seized the vehicle the suspect was driving, which will be turned over to law enforcement officials from North Dakota. Port Director Michael Fox said in the statement, the men and woman of U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Port Huron made the community a safer place by arresting this suspect attempting to return to the United States.
