One injured in Fremont Township accident

A personal injury accident early Monday morning in Sanilac County’s Fremont Township sent one person to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies received a call regarding the crash on Galbraith Line Road near Fargo Road in Sanilac County’s Fremont Township around 7 a.m. Deputies say a 1998 Ford Escort driven by a 29-year-old Brown City woman was eastbound on Galbraith Line Road when she swerved to miss a deer and ended up entering a ditch causing her vehicle to strike a driveway embankment. Both front airbags deployed on the vehicle. The female was treated on scene by Croswell EMS and transported to McLaren Hospital in Port Huron for further treatment. She told deputies she was wearing her seat belt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted on scene by Croswell Fire and Rescue.
