Driver in hit and run of Amish buggy found

A 90-year old woman has been identified as the driver in a hit and run involving an Amish buggy near Marlette. The accident happened Monday afternoon around 2:35 p.m. on Marlette Road, just east of Boyne Road. Investigation shows that the vehicle driven by the woman struck the buggy, causing it to come off the frame. The lone occupent of the buggy refused medical treatment. The 90-year old driver of the vehicle left the scene without calling police. The Sanilac County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case and is expected to file charges.
