Two hurt in semi-pickup collision

THE FOLLOWING WAS ISSUED BY THE CROSWELL POLICE DEPARTMENT:

(CROSWELL) -On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at approximately 5:30 PM, Sanilac Central Dispatch received a report of a serious traffic accident at the intersection of M-90 (Peck Rd and Croswell Rd in the City of Croswell.

It was reported that a semi truck and a pickup truck were involved. Croswell Police, Croswell EMS and Croswell Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

First responders worked with the Jaws of Life to free a 33 year old, Joshua Walls of Croswell, who was pinned in the pickup truck.

Preliminary investigation shows that the semi driven by Mark Noll, 38 years old of Croswell, was northbound on Croswell Rd. As he was approaching the intersection of M-90 and Croswell Rd, he had mechanical problems.

Noll was unable to stop for the intersection and struck the westbound Walls vehicle.

Walls was treated at the scene by Croswell EMS and transported to McLaren Port Huron.

He was later transferred to a metro area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Noll was treated at McKenzie Hospital for serious injuries.

Investigation is continuing into this crash by Croswell Police Department.

Lexington Police, Michigan State Police and Sanilac County Sheriff Department assisted at the scene.
