Two warrants issued for Bad Axe robbery

UPDATE: TUESDAY 4:25 P.M. – Two people are facing charges in the reported robbery at Advance America – Cash Advance on North Van Dyke in Bad Axe on October 23rd. The charges include – Embezzlement between 50 to 100 thousand dollars, False Report of a Felony and Larceny in a Building.

33-year old Kayla Orchard of Bad Axe was arraigned in District Court Tuesday afternoon. A Probable Cause hearing was set for November 15th, with a preliminary exam scheduled November 22nd.

The second person facing charges is a 37-year old Bad Axe woman who has not yet turned herself in for arraignment, according to court officials.

The Prosecutor’s Office says it is alleged the pair had embezzled from the firm and used the false armed robbery to try to cover up the theft.

(Bad Axe) – The Huron County Prosecutor’s Office has issued warrants for the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in the theft of Advance America Cash Advance that was originally reported to be an armed robbery October 23rd.

Both warrants include counts of embezzlement, false report of a felony and larceny in a building.

Authorities say both individuals have been contacted with arrangements being made to turn themselves in to Bad Axe police. Names are not being issued, pending arraignment.
