(SANILAC COUNTY) – A one-vehicle rollover accident has claimed the life of a Huron County man.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, deputies responded to the accident on Cumber Road, near Wheeler in Austin Township around 7 a.m.
According to deputies, a 2005 Buick Terraza driven by a 40-year-old Ubly man was eastbound on Cumber Road when he lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators say the vehicle overturned on the roadway, entering the ditch on the north side of the road, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
Sanilac and MMR EMS responded to the scene. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Team was called to the incident which remains under investigation.
Deputies were also assisted by the Bingham-Ubly Fire Department.
