According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, the boy was riding a Honda 4-wheeler ATV west on E. He was struck by a westbound pickup truck driven by a 67-year-old male from Melvin.

The boy was transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital by Croswell EMS and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Detroit for further treatment. The driver and passengers of the truck were not injured.
