(WORTH TOWNSHIP) – A 27-year old Sterling Heights man was injured in an ATV accident in Worth Township early Saturday morning. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, the man was riding the ATV near Lakeview Road around 2 a.m. and lost control, rolling the bike while being ejected.
The male, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated on the scene by Croswell EMS and transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital for further treatment.
Investigators say alcohol and careless driving were suspected factors in the accident. Charges will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the completion of the investigation.
The Lexington Police Department and Fire Department assisted deputies on the scene.
