Three injured in two-vehicle crash

Police investigate two vehicle crash

(WATERTOWN TOWNSHIP) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Sanilac County’s Watertown Township Thursday morning. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, an

87-year old Marlette woman was driving on Miller Road around 10 a.m. when she failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck traveling south on South Sandusky Road.

The truck was being driven by a 66-year old Marlette man who had a 63-year old female passenger. Deputies say the 87-year old woman did not have a seat belt on at the time of the crash while the other two victims were wearing seat belts.

All three victims were transported by Sanilac EMS to McKenzie Hospital with the 87-year-old later transported to Saginaw Covenant Hospital for further treatment. The names are being withheld pending further investigation.

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Sandusky fire and police departments.
