A 69-year old Caro grandfather is facing possible charges after allegedly leaving his loaded handgun in a Tuscola County high school gymnasium. Sheriff Deputies were called to Kingston high school last weekend after someone discovered the gun at a basketball tournament for elementary players. Police traced the serial number on the weapon to learn name of the gun’s owner who returned to the school and was met by deputies. The Tuscola County prosecutor will decide if the man will be criminally charged. The incident remains under investigation.
