Sanilac County Road Commission holds final meeting of 2018

The Sanilac County Road Commission held their final meeting of 2018 this morning in a brief session. Engineer/Manager Robb Falls said the actual bid for the paving of Ruth Road, from M-46 to the south village limits of Deckerville came in at $880,000 and will be done this coming paving season. The northern portion of Ruth Road, from the north village limits of Deckerville to the County Line, will be bid this summer and is expected to cost approximately $1.2 million dollars. That work will most likely not be done until 2020, Falls said. In all, Sanilac County has over $7 million dollars worth of road work scheduled to do this coming summer, with $4.8 million dollars of the work covered by either Federal Aid funding or county millage dollars.
