A traffic stop led to the largest methamphetamine bust in St. Clair County Drug Task Force history.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, a road patrol deputy made a traffic stop on I-69 near Kinney Road November 2nd around 1:30 p.m.
While talking with the driver of the vehicle, the deputy became suspicious about possible narcotics activity and requested the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit who alerted to narcotics being in the vehicle.
Members of the Drug Task Force were called to assist and during a search of the vehicle, agents seized $125,000 worth of meth, along with a quantity of marijuana and $1200 in cash.
A 38-year old man from Port Huron was arrested and is expected to face multiple drug charges.
