Police continue to investigate a crash just south of Lapeer that claimed the life of one person and injured another last weekend. According to investigators, Eileen Dunn of Lapeer was driving her Chevy Cruze north on the wrong side of M-24 when she collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by a 35-year old Metamora man, shortly before 2 a.m. M-24, south of I-69 was closed for more than three hours as investigators worked to determine why Dunn was driving on the wrong side of the road. She was killed in the accident while the Metamora man was treated at a local hospital for serious injuries.
