The M60A1 Tank arrives in Sandusky
(SANDUSKY) – Volunteers are working this afternoon to move a former Army tank from its location in Kingston to it’s new home in Sandusky.
Work has been going on for the past several months, after local officials learned the Kingston VFW has closed, to have their tank moved to the Sandusky VFW on S. Sandusky Road.
With the assistance of heavy equipment and many volunteers, the move was made Thursday afternoon.
The M60A1 Tank made it’s way through downtown Sandusky on a drop-deck trailer around 2:30 p.m. and is being set in place on a new concrete pad in front of the Sandusky Post.
