(SANDUSKY) – My Community Dental Centers (MCDC) and the Sanilac County Health Department are pleased to announce the dental center on 135 W. Sanilac Rd., Sandusky will open on Monday, July 30th.
The center will be a new resource open to the community and will serve children and adults enrolled in Medicaid, inclding Healthy Kids Dental and MiChild, Healthy Michigan Plan, private insurance and low income uninsured persons through MCDC’s MyDental Plan, which provides reduced fees based on household income.
The six-chair Sandusky center will be opening to the public on Monday, July 30, 2018. The center will provide comprehensive dental services including oral exams/cleanings, fillings, tooth removal, partials, dentures, and other dental procedures.
Dr. Robert E. Boyle will be the primary dentist at the new Sandusky dental center. Dr. Boyle earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, his Master of Public Health degree from the University of South Florida, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry.
He spent the last year as a General Practice Resident at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital – Mercy Dental Center.
In addition, Part-time Associate Dentist, Dr. Paul Chappel joins the Sandusky dental team with over 30 years of private practice experience in the Cass City area.
Established in 2006, MCDC is one of the largest non-profit 501(c)3 Dental Support Organizations in the United States, currently operating 31 dental centers statewide with over 100,000 unique patients served in 2017.
MCDC focuses on quality care that is customized for each patient and offered in a patient-centered atmosphere. The centers also utilize electronic patient records, digital radiography, and state-of-the-art dental equipment.
MCDC looks forward to providing a dental home to residents of Sanilac County who have previously been unable to find a dentist.
The Sandusky dental center will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
