Motorcycle crash injures three

(SPEAKER TOWNSHIP) – Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies say two motorcycles collided with each other just after noon Wednesday injuring three people in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township. According to police, a 62-year-old man and his 59-year-old wife from Montrose were traveling east on Burns Line Road and were attempting to turn north on Melvin Road when a second motorcycle driven by a 67-year-old Lowell man attempted to pass on the left causing the two bikes to collide.

The Montrose couple was taken to Lapeer McClaren Hospital for treatment. The driver of the second bike was taken to Marlette Regional Hospital then transferred by helicopter to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw for treatment.

All involved were wearing helmets and alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.
