The Sanilac County Sheriff Department is investigating a case of three abandoned puppies found alongside a Washington Township road on July 16.
Deputies were called to the area on Washington Road near Church Road around 9 pm Monday, after a citizen came across the puppies laying on the grass. They were taken to the Sanilac County Animal Control Shelter. Authorities are asking for assistance in locating those responsible for the incident.
The puppies are believed to be a type of Pitbull mix approximately 10 weeks old. Two of the puppies are black with white on their chest and feet while the third is a brindle color. Anyone with information about the puppies is asked to contact the sheriff department.
