Man Remains in Jail for Role in Shooting and Awaits Trial

A Flint man continues to sit behind bars as he awaits trial for a November shooting that left two dead. Preston Jack was in Sanilac County Circuit Judge Donald A. Teeple’s courtroom for a final pretrial when the procedings were delayed while DNA lab results are completed. A four-day trial is scheduled to begin September 18th. Jack was charged following a shooting last fall at a Greenleaf Township home where the homeowner told police three men broke into his home. Gunfire was exchanged and two people were killed. Jack was wounded and a fourth suspect was caught and arraigned, but he later killed himself in his jail cell. Jack remains housed in the Sanilac County Jail without bond.
