Following a wet, soggy spring, many communities are facing drainage issues and the Village of Almont is no exception. Village officials heard from several residents at a recent meeting as they voiced concern over continued flooding in their homes on the east side of the village. Drain Commission representatives were also at the meeting and said they cannot do anything about the flooding until petitioned by the taxpayers or village. Village DPW workers are trying to come up with a solution that is not costly to the residents or village.
