Frankenmuth Police and the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department are warning residents about a scam where someone is pretending to be with the Saginaw County Sheriff’s office, and sending out fake arrest warrants. The most recent case involved a woman in Frankenmuth where the scammer not only called the woman but also sent her court paperwork through email. Police say the documents appear to come from federal court in Saginaw but, there is no federal courthouse in Saginaw County. Authorities encourage residents if you receive suspicious calls or documents in the mail or through email, don’t send money and call police.
