Stolen Dogs Recovered

St. Clair County Sheriff investigators have helped recover 10 English and French Bulldogs who police believe were stolen or fraudulent credit cards. The original calls came to the Sheriff’s Department February 13th and 17th when owners reported men took the dogs and used fradulent credit cards to pay for them. A search warrant in Ecorse April 12th discovered 10 English and French Bulldogs at a residence and another was picked up at a home in Lincoln Park. The English Bulldog from China Township and one of three English Bulldogs from Mussey Township were among those recovered. The dogs, some in poor condition, were taken to River Rouge Animal Control. Besides Michigan, dog breeders from Kentucky, Ohio and New York recovered their dogs.
