Croswell man arrested after police stand-off

Police investigate felonious assault

A 26-year old Croswell man was arrested by Sanilac County sheriff deputies early Thursday afternoon, following a stand-off lasting several hours. According to police, deputies responded to Buel Hill Trailer Park in Buel Township for a Felonious Assault shortly after noon. Deputies learned the suspect had allegedly assaulted his father Wednesday evening. Deputies tried to make contact with the suspect, with numerous attempts to get him to exit the home.

After hours of communications with the suspect, he eventually walked out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Sanilac County Jail and was lodged for Felonious Assault and is now awaiting arraignment.

Deputies were assisted by the Sanilac County Drug Task Force, Croswell Police and EMS.
