Communities opt in for medical marijuana facilities

Three communities have chosen to Opt In to Michigan’s Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act, clearing the path to move forward on future development. The Villages of Capac and Almont, along with the City of Lapeer, are now able to accept applications from businesses in five areas; grow operations, processing, testing facilities, dispensaries and transporters. The three entities said they are working to inform the public on actual information and the benefits of having such companies, rather than believing stereotype opinions.
