One arrested in Imlay City domestic incident

Lapeer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an apartment building with multiple family units on Belle River Road in Imlay City last Thursday evening, following a dispute between tenants over a shared parking area that ended in gunfire and an arrest. Authorities said 21-year old Joshua Angotti made a verbal threat after getting into an argument. Police said Angotti went to his apartment, got a shot gun and returned to the parking lot to fire the gun into the air. He was arrested without incident at the scene where deputies found he was carrying illegal controlled substances. Angotti is facing six charges, including having a dangerous weapon and carrying it with unlawful intent and felonious assault. Bond was set at $10,000. No injuries were reported in the incident.
