Man talked down from Blue Water Bridge

There were some anxious moments for first responders early Tuesday morning in Port Huron. Firefighters were called to the Blue Water Bridge after a man had climbed steel girders of the North span around 2:30 a.m. Authorities said the man had climbed 30 feet before firemen arrived and tried convincing the man to come down. The subject apparently told firefighters he did not want to be rescued. After an hour of talking with the man, firefighters were able to talk him down to the ground where he was later transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
