Police investigate embezzlement case
(Sanilac County) – A three-month investigation into a possible embezzlement case has resulted in the arrest of a Decker woman. According to the Sanilac County sheriff department, 58-year old Deborah Seifferlein was arrested at her home Thursday by Detectives and members of the Drug Task Force and is facing the embezzlement charges from her former employer. Detectives said Seifferlein allegedly took over $50,000 from Marlette Roofing and Sheet Metal since 2010.
Authorities were alerted to the case by the company’s attorney after reviewing financial records.
Seifferlein was arraigned and later released on $5,000 personal bond.
