Sandusky police break up fight in street

Police investigate two incidents

 

Sandusky police are investigating two incidents over the past week, including a case of road rage that erupted in to a fight in the middle of a Sandusky street.

Police Chief Bret Lester said two Croswell men, ages 28 and 24, whom Lester said have a history of not liking each other, were closely following each other around Sandusky streets and decided to stop and fight on Maple Valley Street, just south of M-46.

Chief Lester city officers and sheriff deputies responded to the location and arrested both men for disorderly conduct. The men have since posted bond and are awaiting court proceedings.

In the second incident, Chief Lester said police responded to a home on South Elk Street early last week and arrested a 27-year old Sandusky resident on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support.

During the execution of a search warrant, Chief Lester said police discovered evidence of other possible criminal activity and the incident remains under investigation.

Police would not release the name of the suspect, due to the continuing investigation.
