Assistant Prosecutor “no longer with the Prosecutor’s Office” State says

(LANSING) – John Nevin, Michigan Supreme Court communications director, confirmed to WMIC-WTGV that Assistant Prosecutor Eric Scott is no longer with the Sanilac County Prosecutor’s Office.

Scott, who was assigned a case involving paternity and consent in an alleged rape case, was said to be “no longer working in the Prosecutor’s Office” according to Nevin.

In a highly publicized case, on Tuesday, District Judge Gregory Ross reversed an earlier decision after learning new information, and gave sole paternity and legal custody rights of an eight-year old boy to the victim.

Ross said the Prosecutor’s Office had not fully informed him of details on the case.
