Deckerville area experiences power loss

(DECKERVILLE) – Between 1000 and 2000 customers were without power in the Deckerville area for about two hours Monday. Customers in Wheatland, Marion, Bridgehampton and Forester townships – along with the Village of Deckerville, were in the dark from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., according to Deckerville Fire Chief Tracey Hoff.

He said Detroit Edison crews were working on power lines in the area of Range Line Road, south of Deckerville, when the power went out. Hoff said DTE officials had advised prior to the work beginning, there would be no interruption of power

Officials at Deckerville village hall said they had power restored around 12:45 p.m.
