(CAPAC) – Following several attempts at trying to land a job as Superintendent, former Deckerville resident Jeff Terpenning has found a new home.
The former Hillsdale Community Schools principal was hired by the Capac School Board earlier this month, edging out two other finalists for the job. 33 applications had been received for the position.
Terpenning had also interviewed for Superintendent openings at Sandusky and Deckerville earlier this year, being among the finalists at both schools.
Terpenning will replace Dr. Steve Bigelow who took a similar position with the Bay City school district.
Capac officials said Terpenning wanted to finish up work at his old school which begins August 23rd and will take over his new duties in Capac August 28th.
Terpenning is working with school board officials to iron out details of his new contract.
