Worth assessment meeting

Over three hundred people filled the Knights of Columbus Hall in Worth Township Monday evening to discuss property assessments on the long-anticipated sewer project that has been court-ordered. The three hour meeting was held to inform residents of what their share of the costs would be. Nearly 50 people voiced concerns, but the project, now fully funded, is set to begin. Contractors who were awarded bids have agreed to hold their prices until October 1st, but now, work may not begin until spring. It’s unknown if the contractors will honor their bids if construction is delayed until spring.
